Collection: HEIRLOOMS

In the vibrant scene of the 1980s and early ‘90s, our head designer’s mother, Kiran, ran a  pioneering women’s wear boutique that blossomed into one of the city’s most celebrated shops. Fearlessly, she saw an opportunity and took the bold leap into menswear. However, well ahead of her time, the market was not ready for Kiran’s visionary designs, which ultimately lead to the closing of this venture.

But, in true family spirit, Kiran’s mother would not let her daughter’s dream go to waste. She salvaged every scrap of fabric, crafting intricate coin pouches on her beloved sewing machine, selling them to ease the loss and keep the family’s creative spark alive.

That same sewing machine now sits proudly in the GARUDA studio, a silent witness to our journey.

Our latest collection HEIRLOOMS celebrates items that have been handed down from one generation to the next. Each piece is a nod to items that have been mended over time, embodying a patchwork rawness and unrefined beauty that tell stories of persistence, legacy and unbreakable bonds.
